Bio:
Corey Ledet has been setting local Zydeco and Cajun dance all and festival stages on fire. Whether he is playing his single row or piano key accordion, his's music ranges in style from old-time Creole and Zydeco to music done his own way.  Originally from Houston, Texas, Corey grew up hearing the records of Clifton Chenier, Rockin' Dopsie, and many other great musicians. By the age of 10, he began playing the piano key accordion. After graduating high school, Corey moved over to south Louisiana. In 1999, he formed his own Zydeco band and released his first CD entitled, "Three Years 2 Late," produced by Dirk Powell.  Corey and his band have become local favorites in dance halls all over southwest Louisiana and Texas as well as the East and West Coast. They have performed at numerous festivals all over the south from Festival International in Lafayette to the Texas-Louisiana Zydeco Extravaganza in Beaumont, TX.  Corey Ledet came to Eunice, Louisiana's Liberty Theater June 4, 2005, dressed like the King of Zydeco, the late Clifton Chenier, but more to the point, he played Clifton's legendary music with both skill and soul, producing a sound that invited the audience to close their eyes and imagine the King was himself once more on the stage. Corey and his band got a standing ovation.      Corey keeps moving his music along a fresh path all the while keeping his roots firmly in traditional music, blending to form a sound that will keep the listener always wanting more.
